The London giants attacker Ross Barkley is reportedly a transfer target for his old boss David Moyes at Hammers. The duo were together at Goodison Park a few years ago and now Moyes is keen to work with Barkley again at his current club Hammers.
This could be a good move for Ross, who hasn’t been a regular starter in his time at Stamford Bridge for a variety of reasons. Barkley could be tempted to play under David again, with the Scot notably first giving him his breakthrough at Everton all those years ago.
Despite once being considered a real wonderkid, Ross has lost his way a little and doesn’t really look up to the task of playing for a big club like Blues. Hammers could be a good move for him to ensure he plays more often and could give him the opportunity to revive his career.
David Moyes is holding out hope that his former charge could be willing to pursue the regular first-team starts that would put him into Gareth Southgate’s thinking for next year’s European Championships.
The Scot is determined to bring down the average age of his Hammers midfield and to make his engine room more mobile Although Jack Wilshere it fit again Moyes has been searching for options for some time and is particularly keen to work with England international.
