Hammers are interested in signing Reds shot-stopper Loris Karius. Germany international joined Liverpool from Mainz in the summer of 2016 for around £4.7m. Loris made many high profile errors for Reds, however, before being farmed out to Besiktas on loan in the summer of 2018.
Karius is ready to come back to Liverpool in the summer, however. And Fanatik claims that Hammers are keen to add Loris before the start of next campaign. Karius has kept 68 clean sheets in 266 combined games for Liverpool, Mainz and Besiktas.
In 29 Premier League matches for Liverpool, Loris has made 51 saves, 14 high claims and seven catches. The German shot-stopper kept seven clean sheets in those outings. The 26-year-old goalkeeper also made two errors leading to goals for the opposition.
Loris is very inconsistent and is far from reliable. In truth, that is actually being rather polite. In fact, Hammers moving for the German shot-stopper would make little sense.
West Ham United are well stocked in the goalkeeping department for the next couple of years with Lukasz Fabianski, Darren Randolph and Nathan Trott. Liverpool value Karius at nearly £7.25m. And West Ham United should avoid a move for Loris Karius at all costs.
