Manchester United and Arsenal are rumoured to be monitoring Leicester City holding midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, following a string of impressive performances.
The Nigerian international has been compared to N’Golo Kante for his dominant performances at the Foxes, and netted his first Premier League goal in the 2-0 win over Stoke City at the weekend.
And there is already a fear that Craig Shakespeare’s side will face a struggle to keep the £15 million signing after another formidable performance in the England’s top Flight.
“Our recruitment department take a real pat on the back for [Ndidi’s signing],” Foxes boss said on Sunday. “We did a lot of homework on him and I think we were one of the first clubs, if not the first, to show an interest in him.
“I think he, and his family and agent, remembered that so we were in the driving seat. When other clubs came in for him he remembered the way we went about it first. He had other options.
“From what you’re seeing so far, we’ve got a good player on our hands.”
The Daily Mirror, the 20-year-old is being monitored by the Premier League heavyweights United and Arsenal, while Southampton and Hamburg are also eyeing a move for the highly-rated anchorman.
Ndidi, in the English Premier League, has scored one goal this season, creating four chances and one assist, he completed 250 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 71%, of which 105% were forward passes.
