Arsenal have lost highly-rated young midfielder Yunus Musah to the La Liga club Valencia.
The 16-year-old ace turned down a scholarship offer from Arsenal to sign a two-year deal with the Spanish outfit.
Musah had drawn interest from a host of club’s following his incredible spell of form for the Gunners’ Under-18 side.
The versatile midfielder netted five goals and provided three assists in 17 matches last campaign.
After his move to Los Murcielagos was confirmed, he shared a picture of himself in the Valencia kit with his 6,900 Instagram followers.
Alongside the image, Yunus wrote: “I am over the moon to have officially signed for @valenciacf.”
“Delighted to join a club with such rich history and now I get to be a part of it! Can’t wait to get started.”
It is understood that Yunus initially signed to be a part of the new club’s Under-19 roster, but has been playing for the reserves since his arrival.
He shared a message on social media, Instagram earlier this week to thank Gunners for their support during his time in North London.
The Gunners supporters have expressed their concerns that letting the talent leave could be a “serious mistake”.
The England youth star, who was born in New York in 2002, was widely considered as one of the club’s brightest prospects.
