New Rangers head-coach Steven Gerrard is reportedly looking to sign Liverpool wonderkid Ovie Ejaria.
The 20-year-old, who spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Sunderland, looks set for another move away from Anfield as Gerrard hopes to use his ties with the Merseyside Reds to sign more young players from Anfield including the likes of Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent.
However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will have the final word on where Kent and Wilson continue to play for the 2018/19 season.
But The Sun claims that Ejaria is far enough down the pecking order to be released.
The Glasgow-based team are keen to bring Liverpool wonderkid up to speed for their crucial European qualifiers in July.
And Gerrard, who officially started his new role at the club on June 1 has been on the lookout for offensive reinforcements at his new team.
The Merseyside Reds legend was spotted in France watching the England Under-21s forward in action against Qatar on Friday and seems the deal will be materialised within weeks.
Ejaria was initially named the in the Young Lions squad for the trip, however, had to pull out before the first game following the injury.
