Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his approval to the landing of Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, it has been reported.

The Red Devils have been linked with a swoop for the Arsenal forward in the latest weeks amid speculation the player had proposals from the Chinese Super League.

But it looks like the Red Devils are interested in offering him a way out of north London.

Website FCInterNews claim Red Devils have already tabled a £62 million bid for the Gabon international in the hope he replaces Belgium international Romelu Lukaku.

United want £80 million for their Belgian forward but the Serie A giants are yet to meet their valuation with a respectable proposal.

But it seems the club are already putting the wheels in motion to land his replacement with Aubameyang their focus.

The Gunners will be reluctant to sell one of their star forwards but Ole has given United the green light to persist with attempting to prize him out of north London.

The previous month talkSPORT presenter Andy Goldstein stated the Red Devils were weighing up a deal for the 30-year-old star.

“I’ve got someone on the inside, not at United by the way, someone on the inside who every so often would tell me transfer gossip. He has told me that United are interested in Aubameyang.” Andy said.

In other news, La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly ended their reported pursuit of a new centre-back following the Dutch sensation Matthijs de Ligt’s decision to sign for Juventus.

The decision means that Blaugrana will not be making a swoop for Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof.
