Inter Milan are reportedly set to rival La Liga giants Real Madrid in their pursuit of Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah.
The 27-year-old star has repeatedly been linked with a transfer to Zinedine Zidane’s Madrid, despite winning the UCL with the Reds last season and again lifting the PL Golden Boot.
Don Balon now reports that Nerazzurri, who have won six matches out of six in Serie A this campaign under Antonio Conte, are planning to make a big switch to acquire the Egyptian’s signature.
The report claims that the Nerazzurri would be ready to offer Salah €18m (£16m) a campaign for four years, a deal which would make him the second-highest paid star in Italian football behind Portugal and Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Such a deal would come close to doubling ex-Chelsea man’s current salary at Liverpool, with Inter Milan’s transfer rivals Madrid expected to only offer him a salary in the region of €15 million (£13.3 million) per season.
Salah has scored 77 goals in 115 matches for the Reds since signing for Jurgen Klopp’s side back in 2017.
