Real Madrid will offer Spanish forward Marco Asensio to Liverpool as they are desperate to lure Sadio Mane at Santiago Bernabeu ahead of the next season.
Senegalese international attacker has developed into one of Jurgen Klopp’s vital players since his transfer at Anfield from Premier League rivals Southampton back in 2016.
The Senegal attacker has found back of the net 59 times in 123 games in all competitions, helping the Reds to claim the Champions League trophy and finish second in the English top-tier in the summer.
The Los Blancos have been repeatedly rumoured with a move for Sadio Mane and the Daily Express claims that Spanish giants are ready to step up their interest in Senegalese international attacker.
It is reported that the Los Blancos are willing to offer Jurgen Klopp the chance to secure services of Spain international Asensio in a proposed swap deal with Sadio Mane.
The Merseyside Reds head-coach Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a huge fan of Asensio, who played 44 games for Los Blancos last campaign, however, will be reluctant to lose Sadio Mane.
African forward was heavily linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu earlier in the campaign, however, distanced himself from the rumours ahead of the Reds Champions League final victory over Tottenham in June. He said: ‘This is part of football, so we have to deal with it.
‘For me, the more important thing is that I am with Liverpool and I am very happy here, and I am preparing for one of the club’s biggest games. Let’s focus on this first, and on winning it.’
Asked whether it was special to be linked with teams such as Real Madrid, Mane responded: ‘It’s always a pleasure for this kind of team to want you.
‘But Liverpool, don’t forget, we beat big teams.’
