Chelsea versatile defender Fikayo Tomori has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Burnley.
According to claims from The Daily Star, the talented defender has emerged as a player who Clarets head-coach Sean Dyche is keen to recruit ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Tomori spent the duration of last campaign away from the Blues on a loan deal. He played under new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard at Derby County, where he enjoyed a stunning season and expected to see him in for his plans ahead of the 2019/20 season, however, Sean Dyche also keen on to lure him away from Stamford Bridge.
The England Under-21 international has helped the Rams to the final of the play-offs but could not aid them at the final game as Aston Villa have made a return to the Premier League after securing a 2-1 victory.
However, Tomori could yet be playing his football in the top flight next campaign, as Burnley plot a move that is believed to be around £15 million.
Frank Lampard could be keen to keep hold of the Canadian-born defender following the success the 21-year-old enjoyed under his tutelage at Pride Park, however, the prospect of regular football elsewhere may be tempting for the 21-year-old.
