Premier League outfits Everton have submitted a £66 million bid for wantaway Chelsea striker Diego Costa who has finally complete a switch to his former club Atletico Madrid this week, according to the British sources.

The Spanish international centre-forward will make a return to his former club following after a bust-up with Antonio Conte.

And now it has been revealed that Everton have tried to secure the services of 28-year-old forward.

After failing in their attempts to sign Arsenal centre-forward Olivier Giroud, the Toffees were looking to sign a proven goalscorer to replace Romelu Lukaku, and Diego Costa thought to be on Roland Koeman\s wishlist.

Everton had a busy summer transfer window bringing in the likes of Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.  Sunderland goalie Jordan Pickford, Man Utd’s Wayne Rooney, Burnley’s Michael Keane and Davy Klaassen after they failed to sign a world-class centre-forward Diego Costa.

The Merseyside Blues may have brought in Sandro Ramirez from Malaga. However, Spaniard is struggling to adapt to the Premier League.

Diego Costa has finally sealed his dream move to Atletico Madrid, however, he will be unable to play for them until January due to Spanish club’s transfer ban.
