Chelsea appears to have finalised their second signing of the summer after Ajax wonderkid Daishawn Redan has been pictured with the club’s shirt.
The 16-year-old centre-forward has been one of the most promising starlets who came through the ranks of Ajax in the recent times and has emerged as a transfer target for hosts of European giants.
RB Leipzig, Man Utd and Man City have all have expressed interest for the Dutch starlet, but Chelsea have won the race for his signature, and now he will continue development to the Blues U-18 side.
Reports over Redan’s exit from has been confirmed in his native Netherlands at the end of June suggesting that player will sign for Premier League club as soon as transfer window ill be re-opened.
And now picture in which he has been pictured with Chelsea jersey confirms his switch to Stamford Bridge outfits.
Nevertheless, Dutch club have announced back in March that Redan was leaving the club and wished him all the best.
‘We have mapped out a path for him, and there is depth discussions with him and his management,’ Ajax youth coach Said Ouaali revealed.
‘That there is no agreement at the last moment is extremely regrettable. Obviously, they have put something else on their minds.
‘We have made every effort to maintain a great talent as Daishawn for the club, but at some point, it stops.’
