Manchester United head-coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Marcus Rashford can be on the same level as PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.
English forward was left out of Man Utd 3-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday, however, his head coach was full of praise for the forward ahead of the Champions League game against PSG on Tuesday night.
The England international forward has found back of the net nine times in the English top-tier this campaign, six of which have come since Solskjaer has replaced Jose Mourinho. Such stunning form of the 21-year-old attacker has seen that his manager believes he is capable to perform on the same level as world-cup winning forward Kylian Mbappe.
‘Marcus is going to be a top-quality player. I love working with him. I am sure PSG will look at Marcus the way we look at Mbappe – he’s one of the main threats,’ said Solskjaer after the comfortable win over Fulham.
‘Mbappe had a fantastic rise to stardom and he’s got a fantastic smile about him. A great enthusiasm. And there will understandably be comparisons.
‘I have seen Mbappe live once and Marcus every single day. Strikers don’t really dominate football but the pair of them will have a massive impression on football for the next 10 years. They will really light it up.’
France international star has been in stunning form for Ligue 1 defending champions PSG this campaign, founding back of the net 18 times in just 17 appearences.
The 20-year-old forward has also managed to score three goals in the Champions League and now ready to do the same against Manchester United.
The first leg of the last 16 tie will be held at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening and both Kylian Mbappe and Marcus Rashford likely to start for their teams.
