Football super agent Mino Raiola has revealed that he has worked over a year on Paul Pogba’s transfer to Man United.
Earlier this summer France international midfielder has joined Man United for world-record £89m deal from Serie A champions Juventus.
The agent who earns more than Cristiano Ronaldo in his entire career also represents two Man United stars Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who have both also sealed summer moves to Mourinho’s side earlier this summer.
Speaking about the deal, Raiola claims it was a long and complicated process.
“Pogba was a deal that we were working on already for a year – maybe longer,” he said.
“It was a complex deal as it involves a lot of parties and involves a lot of high stakes rights and it is difficult to get them all aligned.
“I work for the player, that is always very clear, so try to do what is in the interests of the player, what is his wishes, and I try to keep that always in mind.”
Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has got the job done and has made some marquee signings this summer that will reportedly help him to finish 2016/17 season on top of the Premier League table.
