Manchester City sent scouts to keep a close eyein on Liverpool’s long-term target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in action for Lazio last weekend, according to reports from Italy.
The Serbian playmaker has been attracting plenty of interest from the hosts of European club’s including Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Premier League duo have been closely tracking the 22-year-old midfielder progress and are ready to make a January move for his signature.
And, according to TMW, Pep Guardiola’s side had scouts in attendance to watch Milinkovic-Savic in action against Bologna.
Despite rumours linking the midfielder with a move away, he has been ever-present so far this season, racking up 13 appearances and scoring four goals in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also keeping tabs on another Serie A star Kalidou Koulibaly who has been valued at £45m by Napoli.
The Senegalese international centre-back has established himself as one of the best defenders in Serie A and has attracted interest from the hosts of European clubs.
Jurgen Klopp seems to be disappointed with the performance of Dejan Lovren and planning to replace him with Koulibaly.
