According to a recent report from the Express Live transfer blog, reported Manchester United target Philippe Coutinho will reject any proposals from the Manchester side out of respect for Liverpool.
The Brazilian playmaker is considered as a long term target for Manchester United, and they might have gone for the star if someone like Paul Pogba left Old Trafford in the summer.
However, that’s now out of the picture as the Express claims that Coutinho will only have an eye for a Liverpool move if he heads back to the English top-flight.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a lot of problems to solve in this transfer market, and he was handed a big bomb when Paul Pogba revealed that he wants a fresh challenge. The French star’s future is still unresolved, and it remains to be seen what would transpire in the transfer market.
Coutinho could be a great replacement for someone like Paul as he has already tasted success in the EPL. The 27-year-old star was known for his long-range shots from the edge of the box.
Apart from that, Philippe can also open up defences with his passing range. Coutinho’s quick feet and dribbling skills enable the star to get out of tight spaces, and the South American is also known as a hard worker off the ball.
But, with no UEFA Champions League football to offer, prospective stars might be slightly sceptical about joining the Red Devils. Therefore, the best bet for Solskjaer would be to keep hold of Paul.
