Manchester United have reportedly planning to make a lucrative contract offer to Adrien Rabiotas as the Red Devils look to win the race to his signature.
France international star will see his current contract with PSG expire at the end of June.
A number of teams in Europe have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old midfielder who has not turned out for PSG since December after failing to agree on a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Red Devils have now offered the Frenchman a contract which could be worth in the region of £175,000 per week.
Rabiot, who has managed to win five Ligue 1 trophies during his time at PSG, is also believed to command a substantial signing-on fee this summer due to his status as a free agent.
Man Utd direct Premier League rivals Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old midfielder, however, the Red Devils appear to be in a good position to secure his services ahead of the new season despite missing out on Champions League football.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will reportedly try to secure services of Everton midfield destroyer Idrissa Gueye in the summer.
The Red Devils midfielder Ander Herrera has confirmed on Saturday that his time at Old Trafford has came to the end and will leave the team on a free transfer after the end of the 2018/19 season, while Paul Pogba continues to be rumoured with a switch to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Man Utd also did not replace Fellaini who left the club in January, meaning that the English giants are expected to secure services of a new midfielder in the summer and departure of Hererra has made it clear that signing a quality midfielder will be their no.1 option in the upcoming transfer window.
