Ajax skipper Matthijs de Ligt admits he may have played his final game for the Dutch giants. The 19-year-old defender has been heavily linked with an exit from Amsterdam in the summer after an extraordinary campaign with Erik ten Hag’s side that have played the semi-final of the Champions League tournament can claiming the Eredivisie trophy.
The Catalan club have already agreed on a £75million deal to secure the services of de Ligt’s team-mate Frenkie de Jong and reports from Spain suggested that de Light would follow the footsteps on his former teammate and wear the Catalans t-shirt for the next seaosn.

Asked if he would made his last game for the club, de Ligt replied:
‘I don’t know yet. ‘There have been conversations, but there is still no agreement.’
Dutch centre-back is expected to cost in the region of £80m, meaning he would become the most expensive defender in the world.
Ajax are realistic about their chances of keeping the centre-back, however, they will not sanction any further exit as they seek to keep the team together for at least another year.
