Barcelona head-coach Ernesto Valverde has refused to discuss whether the team are interested in securing the services of Paul Pogba from Man United this summer.
France international midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away from Man Utd in the coming weeks of the European transfer window and is believed to be keen on a move to Nou Camp, although the Red Devils are reluctant to sell.
Speculation over Paul Pogba’s future increased when reports emerged of another fallout with the Red Devils boss, however, Valverde offered little indication as to whether or not a move could be made this summer.
“We do not get into discussions about players of other teams,” he told reporters when questioned about Pogba.
“We want them to respect our players and we respect those of others.”
La Liga giants Barcelona open their season against Alaves this evening.
Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is confident that Paul Pgba will stay at Old Trafford and has recently dismissed rumours over the stressed relationship between the player.
