The La Liga and UCL giants Atletico Madrid versatile midfielder Saul Niguez is reportedly not interested in departing from the Wanda Metropolitano under any circumstances, according to the latest reports.
The 23-year-old Saul has made over 200 appearances for Los Rojibalncos in all competitions, and further enhanced his growing reputation with goals versus England and Croatia for Spain during the latest international break.
Saul is a vital player under Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, and the midfielder has a contract at the Wanda Metropolitano until June of 2026, which includes a release (buy-out) clause of £134 million.
Manchester United have been strongly connected with a move for the Spaniard, while Atletico Madrid’s La Liga rivals Barcelona are also said to be long-term suitors.
However, according to the Spanish-language digital newspaper El Confidencial, Niguez has no desire to leave Atletico Madrid and will reject any interest that arrives.
Saul Niguez spent time in the Real Madrid youth system before joining Los Rojiblancos in 2008.
This season, Spain international midfielder has made 4 La Liga appearances for the Madrid-based outfit and yet to score or provided an assist.
