Arsenal are reportedly planning to reignite their interest in securing the services of Atletico Madrid attacker Thomas Lemar.
Arsenal and Man Utd were heavily linked with the France international forward during the winter transfer window, however, were unable to get a contract over the line before the deadline passed.
French forward has largely struggled to make his mark for Diego Simeone’s outfits since arriving from Ligue 1 outfits Monaco back in 2018 and has failed to score or register an assist in 24 games in all competitions this season.
Manchester United have recently been rumoured with the 24-year-old French forward, however, according to Marca, the Gunners are also planning to make a summer move.
The report suggests that the London giants were ‘close’ to secure the services of Lemar in January and could now revive their interest ahead of the 2020-21 season.
The France international forward has a deal at the Wanda Metropolitano in the summer of 2023.
Manchester United and Arsenal are also keeping tabs on another Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey who has been tipped to depart from the Wanda Metropolitano.
Recently African midfielders father has confirmed that the Gunners have been in talks with his son over a potential move to the Emirates Stadium while Man Utd also in the hunt for his services.
