Manchester United have reportedly favourites to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The 20-times English champions are allegedly open to signing a new centre-back during the upcoming summer transfer window, and Kalidou Koulibaly has been consistently rumoured with a move to Old Trafford.
PSG and Liverpool are also believed to be interested in securing the services of the 28-year-old defender, who has only played 15 games in Serie A this campaign due to injury.
However, according to Le 10 Sport, the Red Devils have stepped up their interest in the Senegal international centre-back as they look to tie up a move ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Serie A giants are believed to be open to selling Koulibaly in the summer, although they are reportedly not prepared to reduce their €110m (£96m) price tag despite the financial implications due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Italian giants will be in a strong position when it comes to potential talks, meanwhile, as the centre-back has a deal with Gennaro Gattuso’s side until June 2023.
The Red Devils broke the transfer record for a defender when they signed England international centre-back Harry Maguire from Leicester City last summer.
Liverpool, on the other hand, see Koulibaly as a perfect defensive partner for Virgil van Dijk and ready to rival Man Utd for his signature.
