Ole Gunnar Solskjaer determined for Manchester United to keep Paul Pogba instead of signing Christian Eriksen as his replacement according to the reports.

Pogba has made it clear that he wants to depart from Old Trafford this summer with both Juve and Real Madrid are ready to secure the services of Frenchman.

But the Red Devils are adamant that they want to keep the world-cup winner at Old Trafford, while Solskjaer has already said that he plans to build his team around former Juventus midfielder.

According to the Evening Standard, Christian Eriksen is on the Red Devils shortlist of replacements for the 26-year-old midfielder, however, Solskjaer’s preference is to keep the Frenchman at the squad.

It’s also reported that the Norwegian manager wants the Red Devils hierarchy to sign two central midfielders before the transfer window shuts down.

Newcastle United versatile midfielder Sean Longstaff and Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes are on the shortlist of Solskjaer and one of them are expected to make a move to Old Trafford before the end of the summer transfer window.

Eriksen, meanwhile, has just one year left on his current deal with the Spurs and admitted last month that he is keen on for a new challenge like Paul Pogba said previously.

But Pogba remains Zinedine Zidane’s top priority for the Los Blancos although the Spanish teams president Florentino Perez is believed to favour a move for Dutchman.

Pogba is training with the Red Devils squad in Australia ahead of their first pre-season fixture against Perth Glory on Saturday.
