Man Utd versatile midfielder Ashley Young will reportedly consider leaving Old Trafford at the end of the current campaign if he continues to find his opportunities limited.
The 33-year-old Englishman has lost his spot as the Red Devils’ first-choice defender to Luke Shaw in the early weeks of the 2018-19 season.
English defender has started two of the Red Devils seven games this season, including the 2-1 victory at Watford 10 days ago when Luke Shaw was nursing a head injury.
With his deal due to expire at the end of the current campaign, ESPN reports that the 33-year-old is open to moving on, and he has not ruled out the possibility of joining a new team.
However, Young would prefer to extend his contract to remain at Old Trafford, however, only if he is not seen as an understudy to Shaw.
Meanwhile, La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly planning to send scouts to keep tabs on Paul Pogba in every game for the rest of this campaign ahead of a potential bid for Man Utd next summer.
Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford has come under scrutiny on a number of occasions in recent months amid reports that he has fallen out with Portuguese head coach Jose Mourinho.
Juventus are also believed to be interested in re-signing the World Cup winner, however, Barcelona have also been strongly linked with a move and are thought to have made him no.1 transfer target this summer.
