Mundo Deportivo continues to pour cold water on Ansu Fati to Man United.
Claims of interest started in the Spanish sports media and were then picked up in England. It was first started the PL club were willing to offer around €100m and then claimed United would increase it to a mega offer of €150m including bonuses.
From the start, the claims felt untrue, and Mundo have already stated there’s nothing in it. In their Sunday edition, the Catalan newspaper report the Spaniard and his family haven’t heard anything about a Man United attempt to sign him. Nobody has contacted them to find out their opinion on the potential move.
Blaugrana have denied knowing anything about it either, which would further underline this has all come from somewhere else. Mundo Deportivo state the 17-year-old is looking forward to signing his first big contract with Blaugrana, and it’s expected his release clause could be as high as €400m.
He doesn’t contemplate leaving the club, so wouldn’t even be interested in the claims about Man United were true. Red Devils signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting and Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua during the winter transfer window.
