Manchester United are reportedly planning to make an offer for Spanish playmaker Juan Mata a new three-year deal.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has found back of the net 42 times and provided 34 assists in 200 games for the Red Devils since joining the 20-time English champions from Chelsea during the 2014 January transfer window.
The Spanish playmaker will see his current contract with the Red Devils expire at the end of the current campaign, and it had been believed that the versatile midfielder could move on.
However, according to The Mirror, the Red Devils are on the brink of presenting Spanish midfielder with the offer of a new three-year deal amid reported interest from Atletico Madrid and Arsenal.
Mata has found back of the net three times and provided one assist in 14 games for the Red Devils this campaign.
The 30-year-old midfielder has played 60 minutes of the club’s goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Man Utd are considering January bid for Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic who is believed to be a direct replacement for Mata.
