Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal face a fierce battle to sign Leon Goretzka after Manchester City have joined the race according to the Mirror reports.
German international midfielder has started out his career at boyhood club Bochum, however, has developed into one of the brightest talents in his country after making the switch to Schalke back in 2013.
Goretzka has been a key man for Schalke in recent years, and he’s also been regular for German international team with six goals has been in his names in 12 caps.
However, Goretzka’s future at Schalke is in serious doubt as he has only seven months remaining on his current deal and refusing to sign a new one.
Understandably, the midfielder has attracted strong interest from hosts of European club and moved England could be on the cards as the Mirror claim that Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and now Manchester City have all expressed interest in his signature.
The newspaper cites recent reports coming out of Spain that suggest Goretzka could moving to Anfield as Jurgen Klopp identified him as a long-term replacement for Emre Can.
While Arsenal are also in the market for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil’s replacement.
Chelsea see youngster as an alternative for Cesc Fabregas, while Citizens considering him as a replacement for his countryman Ilkay Gundogan who has suffered with the series of injuries since his transfer from Dortmund.
