Liverpool and Arsenal long-term target Leon Goretzka is on his way to make a switch to Premier League according to Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff.
Both English club, who currently sit fifth and sixth in the Premier League after their opening 11 league games, have been heavily linked with signing 22-year-old Schalke playmaker during the January transfer window.
Goretzka who is valued at £20.7m by transfermarkt. has made 12 appearances for his country,
This term for Schalke German playmaker has made ten appearances in all competition and has scored four goals.
Goretzka, in the tally, has scored 19 times for Schalke in 128 appearances, h was not included in the Germany squad during their goalless draw with England last night.
However, ahead of the international friendly, Germany chief Bierhoff hinted that 22-year-old midfielder is on his way to Premier League.
He said, via the Daily Mirror, “We feel that England, because of the amount of money you have with TV rights, young talented players like Leroy Sane and Leon Goretzka are moving to England and this is not good for our league but also for the quality of our game.
“We have to pay attention and invest again and again in the education of our coaches.”
