Bayer Leverkusen forward Leon Bailey, reportedly a target for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, has been told to avoid a transfer to Chelsea as Eden Hazard remains at the London club.
Ex-Premier League ‘keeper, now TV pundit, Shaka Hislop believes that the Belgian star could prevent the Jamaican winger from flourishing at the Blues.
Speaking about a possible move to the Premier League, as reported by the Daily Star, Shaka feared that a move now could scupper Leon’s development as a player.
“Leon Bailey is enjoying life in Germany and let that continue. There’s no rush to get to Chelsea so you can say that Eden Hazard is your team-mate. If you aren’t playing, you aren’t learning or growing in the game”
Bailey has been heavily connected with a move to the Premier League and specifically, Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have also briefly been connected with a move for the winger.
