Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster has committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term deal at Melwood.
Brewster is yet to make his first-team appearance for the Reds. However, he is highly regarded at the club and being tipped to have a bright future an due to that rewarded him with a new deal.
The 18-year-old is currently recovering from an ankle ligament injury suffered in January. However, he has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract, the club has not disclosed the exact length of which.
“It feels great. I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time now and I think it’s the right moment for me and my family. I’m looking forward to getting back fit and making some appearances,” Brewster told Liverpool’s official website.
“Since I got here the club has been amazing to me and treated me like family. It seems like I’ve been here my whole life, to be honest. It’s coming up to my fifth season now. I [still] remember my first training session. It’s amazing and I can’t wait to get started.”
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur had both been credited with an interest in the 20-year-old forward who was the top-scorer at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup team last year.
Liverpool have reportedly been successful with their £66.8m bid for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson according to the reports from Italy.
Chelsea and Real Madrid have also been rumoured with an approach for the 25-year-old Brazilian keeper who has been on the verge to become Liverpool’s club record signing.

Earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that Liverpool have upped their efforts to sign Brazilian keeper, who has been identified as Klopp’s No.1 transfer target since Champions League final.
