Caught Offside reports that the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on prioritising Barcelona defenders Samuel Umtiti and Nelson Semedo in the upcoming transfer window.

With speculations surrounding Van Dijk and the recent injury to Joel Matip, the Reds are struggling at the back.

And with not many concrete replacement alternatives, like Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren who played in the past two fixtures respectively, the club turns to Barcelona for help.

LFC are yet to see a replacement for Alberto Moreno on the full-back position and Samedo can be the excellent player for them to fill that void. The Portuguese, though, is currently playing a crucial part at Barcelona and will surely be favourite to stay at the club.

The European Champions will surely feel the loss of Van Dijk if he does decide to sign Los Blancos and will look to Umtiti to substitute the Dutchman. The Frenchman is currently struggling with an often knee injury and seeks to restore his spot in the Catalan’s starting lineup.

Claims of potential  €90 million agreement have been made for the Barca duo with both Nelson Semedo and Samuel Umtiti being quality defenders who can improve Liverpool’s defence regardless of Virgil van Dijk’s future decision.
