Liverpool are reportedly preparing to offer their key player Sadio Mane a new deal that ‘will keep him at Anfield for the rest of his career.
The 28-year-old has managed to found back of the nets 77 times and provided 34 assists in 161 games for the Merseyside Reds since joining them from Southampton back in 2016, the stats prove that he has been one of the best players at Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The attacker has again been in fine form during the current campaign, scoring 18 goals and registering 12 assists in 38 appearences in all competitions.
Mane’s current contract at Anfield is due to expire until the summer of 2023, however, there have been reports that La Liga giants Real Madrid planning to make a big-money offer for his services.
According to Football Insider, the Merseyside Reds are desperate for the Senegal international forward to end his career at Anfield and are therefore preparing a ‘blockbuster new contract’.
Mane recently placed fourth in the 2019 Ballon d’Or rankings behind Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, his Liverpool teammate Virgil van Dijk and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
