Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to challenge Serie A side Juventus for the signature of Erling Haaland.
The Red Bull Salzburg starlet is fast becoming one of Europe’s hottest properties.
The 19-year-old striker has bagged 18 goals in just 11 games so far this season including four in the Champions League.
Erling’s rise is going to put huge pressure on his Austrian outfit who cannot match the ambitions of their European rivals.
He only purchased from Molde on a five-year deal in January, but RB Salzburg’s resolve could be tested at the next potential opportunity.
Erling, son of former Leeds United and Manchester City midfielder Alf-Inge, scored for his side at Anfield and the Reds are now weighing up the possibility of landing him.
Their need for a centre-forward does not match that of Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United.
The north London club are frequently being told, not least by their own head coach, that they are in need of reinforcements and a rival for England international Harry Kane is one of those.
United meanwhile allowed two forwards to leave in the summer in the shape of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku without replacing them.
Juventus meantime, while being an attractive proposition, have Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks who has a monopoly on the striker position.
It would mean either a shift out wide or less game time were Haaland to make the transfer to Turin.
RB Salzburg’s impressive start to the season has them as frontrunners to win their seventh straight league title.
