Liverpool will reportedly have to fight off competition from Serie A champions Juventus and Real Madrid if they wish to secure services of Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt during the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old German international forward has found back of the net seven times and provided 14 assists in 38 games for Bayer Leverkusen this season.
The Merseyside Reds have recently been rumoured with a swoop for Brandt, although the Germany international has revealed that he will not discuss his future until the end of the 2018/19 season.
According to Bild, the Merseyside Reds are planning to press ahead with a move, however, Serie A champions, Juventus and Real Madrid are also in the hunt for a player who has a £21.6m release clause in his current deal with Bayer Leverkusen.
Brandt – a 24-time Germany international – has scored 39 times in 210 appearances for Leverkusen since making his first-team debut for the Bundesliga giants in 2014.
Meanwhile, Juventus are leading a host of teams for the signing of Ligue 1 giants Lyon playmaker Tanguy Ndombele, according to the reports.
The 22-year-old is also playmaker is believed be on the radar of French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United. Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.
L’Equipe reported that Italian champions are closing in Ndombele, however, as sporting director Fabio Paratici has already had a meeting with the agent of French star.
Maximiliano Allegri’s side are believed to be willing to meet the recently-capped France international’s valuation, that is believed to be valued around £65m.
