Both England international star Dele Alli and French ‘keeper Hugo Lloris will be missing for Tottenham Hotspur’s clash with Liverpool, according to the latest reports in the British media.
Alli withdrew from his country’s squad with a hamstring injury as a result of the defeat against Spain and, while Three Lions coach Gareth Southgate was confident he’d be able to feature for Spurs on Saturday, it seems the game has come too soon.
Meanwhile, Frenchman, who was set to have a scan on Thursday, has been ruled out for a number of weeks’ and will face a further scan to determine just how serious his thigh injury is.
Earlier this week the 31-year-old star said he was hoping to return this weekend: “There’s perhaps a chance for this weekend, but we’ll see depending on how things go this week,” Lloris told RMC Sport.
The Tottenham Hotspur and France captain was fined £50,000 by the court and banned from driving for 1 year and eight months after Hugo admitted being more than twice the drink-drive limit, Spurs also fined their shot-stopper £250,000, two weeks’ wages.
