Liverpool have leapfrogged Champions League and La Liga winners Real Madrid and are now favourites to sign Borussia Dortmund centre-forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Ladbrokes now have the Reds at 6/4 ahead of defending Premier League champions, Chelsea at 2/1, AC Milan at 5/2 and Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain at 3/1.
Aubameyang has been has been in stunning form this campaign, scoring 20 goals in just 21 games for Dortmund in all competitions.
However, the 28-year-old forward has angered officials at the Bundesliga side and being suspended disciplinary issues last month.
Now the bookies named Liverpool as no.1 favourites to secure the services of Gabon international forward.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Aubameyang looks set for a move away from Dortmund, but attention has shifted from Madrid to Merseyside this week, with Klopp said to be preparing for a reunion with Dortmund’s key man.”
The Merseyside Reds have been in stunning form at the offensive end this campaign.
The Reds have found the net for 34 times in the Premier League so far with Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho proving lethal in front of goal, however, Jurgen Klopp is believed to be keen on to sign Aubameyang.
Liverpool returns to action tomorrow as they host West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.
The Reds will look to maintain their place in the top four. However, their hopes of a title challenge seem to be over with Manchester City already 16 points ahead of him.
