Dietmar Hamann has revealed Sky Sports in Germany that Liverpool have a ‘great interest’ in England and Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, and requires the Champions League winners to make a transfer at the end of the season.
Sancho broke into the German giant’s side in 2017-18 before becoming Dortmund regular the campaign after. He served Dortmund push Bayern Munich all the process last season, finishing two points back Niko Kovac’s side.
The former Manchester City star netted 13 goals and collected on 19 assists as well as becoming a substantial part of the England side. He has remained that form this season, scoring his first goals for England – and having a hand in 11 goals in 11 games this time.
Former the Reds star Hamann, who works as a pundit in Germany for Sky, has claimed that sources have informed him that Liverpool are very interested in raiding Jurgen Klopp’s old side Dortmund for Sancho – next summer transfer window.
“What I hear is that Liverpool has great interest. I would imagine that next summer they could become one of the biggest interested parties,”
The only players that stand a possibility of breaking into Liverpool’s front three right now are players with the quality of the front three, but with age on their side. Sancho is an excellent candidate.
The Sun claims that Sancho is valued in the region of £100million and such a move would make the teenager the sixth most expensive player, behind Antoine Griezmann, Neymar, Joao Felix, Philippe Coutinho, and Kylian Mbappe.
But for such a figure, the Merseyside Reds would be making a long-term purchase and it would finally prove value for money.
