It has been reported that Liverpool ”will monitor” Watford’s forward Ismaila Sarr this summer as they look to make additions ahead of the next season.
The Newly-relegated Hornets are likely to demand a large fee for their star man as he could be a vital player in their attempt to seek a way back to the English top-tier.
The 22-year-old forward has became Watford’s record signing when he made the £30m switch from Renners.
With five goals and six assists from his 28 games in an otherwise poor season for the team, Sarr was one of the very few bright sport from the 2019/20 campaign.
Two of those five goals, of course, came against the Merseyside Reds, as to almost everybody’s surprise, the Hornets ended the Reds previously unblemished unbeaten record.
Following Watford’s relegation, it has been reported that the Hornets will now need to cut their team accordingly and perhaps move on some of their highest earners and Ismailla Sarr would almost certainly fall into this category.
Liverpool attacking duo Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri could leave Anfield to the right buyers, departures which could open up space for Ismailla Sarr’s arrival.
The fact that they are the current European champions and Premier League, added to the fact that they have his friend and fellow Senegal international Sadio Mane could convince Sarr to make a switch to Anfield.
