Liverpool have reportedly remained as frontrunners to secure services of Bayer Leverkusen forward Julian Brandt.
The Germany international forward has a release clause of €25m (£21.61m) in his current deal, although the 23-year-old attacker insists that he is only focusing on playing for Bayer Leverkusen despite interest from the hosts of teams in Europe.
However, according to The Mirror, Liverpool are confident to lure Brandt at Anfield despite interest from Borussia Dortmund.
The report claims that any transfer could depend on whether Brandt’s current team managed to qualify for the Champions League football next season, with the Bundesliga club requiring a positive result from their final fixture of the 2018/19 season.
Brandt has managed to found back of the net six times and providing 11 assists from 32 appearences in Germany’s top tier this campaign.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been handed huge transfer boost in their pursuit of PSV Eindhoven’s winger Steven Bergwijn, with the Eredivisie giants looking to offload him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
PSV duo Hirving Lozano and Bergwijn have both been rumoured with respective moves away at the end of the current campaign following standout seasons for the duo, who have found back of the net 31 times between them in the Eredivisie this season.
And according to the Mirror, Dutch giants are looking to cash in on their two-star men, with the Merseyside Reds given a price tag of around €35million for their star player.
Bergwijn has managed to score 15 times and provided 12 assists in the Eredivisie and Champions League this campaign, and Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a fan of the 21-year-old forward and keen on to lure him at Anfield.
