Liverpool have reportedly joined their direct Premier League rivals Manchester United in the race to secure services of Sporting Lisbon playmaker Bruno Fernandes in this summer’s transfer window.
The Portugal international midfielder who is currently with the national team played for Sunday’s UEFA Nations League final against Switzerland that has been finished with a triumph for him, has been strongly rumoured with a move to the Red Devils this summer.
However, according to Record, the Merseyside Reds are now in the race for the 24-year-old midfielder, whose agent Miguel Pinho will fly to London next week in order to open talks with hosts of Premier League teams.
The versatile attacker has managed to found back of the net 32 times and contributed 18 assists in 53 games for Sporting during the 2018-19 campaign.
Fernandes has a contract at the Estadio Jose Alvalade until the summer of 2022, but, which places his team in a strong position when it comes to transfer talks.
