Liverpool forward Ryan Kent was mysteriously absent from the Reds U23s’ team as they travelled to London to face Chelsea.

It’s the kind of game Ryan kent have normally starred in, however, he was nowhere to be seen without explanation, and there has been now news about his injury.

It has been reported by the Record in Scotland that the 22-year-old forward is set to dig in his heels and try to force a move to Steven Gerrard’s team Rangers before the transfer window shuts.

According to the same report, Liverpool 22-year-old forward is ready to down tools if that’s what it takes, to get himself more first-team football for 2019-20 season.

The Reds would look to ask for at least £7million for their starlet, and the Scottish giants have already baulked at a similar fee for him, however, this new development may mean that the Reds could try and get rid off Kent before the transfer window shuts down on September 2.

The Record also claims that the Gers would be willing to offer the Merseyside Reds an initial loan deal for Kent – with an option to make his move permanent.

It is understood why Kent want to push through a move to the Scottish giants. It’s just unlikely to see him in Jurgen Klopp’s squad following the high competition up front.
