Ligue 1 outfits Bordeaux are reportedly preparing summer bid for 26-year-old Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
The Egypt international has joined the North London club from Switzerland giants Basel back in 2016, and has played 88 games for Arsenal in all competitions.
The 26-year-old midfielder has signed a new deal with the North London club earlier last month, however, has struggled for regular first-team football during the 2018-19 season, leading to suggestions of a possible departure in the summer.
According to L’Equipe, Paulo Sousa -who currently has been in charge of Bordeaux coached Elneny at Basel – wants to bring the defensive midfielder to France during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old midfielder has been restricted to just seven Premier League games this season, while he did not feature in either leg of the Gunners Europa League semi-final against Valencia and now they will face their direct Premier League rivals Chelsea in Baku.
Meanwhile, Liverpool head-coach Jurgen Klopp has reportedly set his sights on securing services of Ajax winger David Neres who has been a long-term target for Arsenal.
The 22-year-old Brazilian attacker is one of a number of players who have shined at the Dutch giants this campaign, with the forward managed to found back of the net 10 times and provided 10 assists from 40 appearences in the Champions League and Eredivisie.
However, that has inevitably led to an interest in the South American forward, and Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are believed to be keeping tabs on the situation.
