Ligue 1 club Monaco are ‘seriously considering’ re-signing Chelsea out-of-favour midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to the L’Equipe reports.
In a report that has been cited by Sport Witness, have already taken place regarding Frenchman heading back to the Ligue 1 club.
The 24-year old has once again found himself down in the pecking order at Chelsea, despite making a handful of appearances during the Blues pre-season tour in the USA.
He now looks to be surplus to requirements under Frank Lampard with Jorginho, N’Golo Kate and Ross Barkley are all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Bakayoko joined the West London club from Monaco back in 2017 for £40 million as he has been tipped to be one of the best midfielders in Europe. However, he has failed to fulfil his potential and now has been linked with a return to AS Monaco.
However, his promise has yet to transpire, and The West London club sent him out on season-long loan deal to AC Milan last campaign where although he had spells of greatness, never really took the league by storm.
Lampard has a decent sized squad at the midfield are so it looks like the one capped France International could be on his way out from Stamford Bridge and his former club AS Monaco are seriously considering to re-sign him ahead of the 2019/20 season.
