Lazio are interested in the signing of Adam Lallana this summer, according to sports journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter.
The 31-year-old forward will leave Liverpool at the end of the campaign, as his contract at Anfield expires.
Adam Lallana has been massively linked with a host of clubs, including Leicester City, Tottenham and Arsenal, and Lazio have now emerged as an alternative, too.
Should the midfielder head to Italy, he would link-up with ex-Liverpool teammate Lucas Leiva, who has been at Lazio since 2017.
Adam Lallana has reached a step where Liverpool have outgrown him, but that isn’t to say he can’t still offer lots to a lesser side. If the Englishman can rid himself of injuries, as he has done this campaign, his quality on the ball and work-rate can be an undoubted asset, particularly in the slower-paced Serie A.
Adam Lallana may feel that a challenge abroad could be the way forward before he reaches an age where he is well past his best. Equally, though, linking up with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, or even returning to Southampton, could also appeal.
