Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio is reportedly favours move to Manchester City over Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to Don Balon, the 22-year-old winger is aware of interest from the Man Utd and Chelsea, who would be willing to pay around £87million for his signature.
City, however, planning to make a £114m bid for Asensio would supposedly favour a move to Etihad stadium over Chelsea and Manchester United anyway.
One reason mentioned by Don Balon is the Blues’s struggles this campaign, which look set to cost them a place in the Champions League.
City, meanwhile, are building an exciting team under Pep Guardiola, whose side have claimed the Premier League title this campaign.
The Sky Blues will no doubt be seen as strong contenders for the Champions League next campaign, and a signing like Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio could go a long way to aiding their cause.
One of the top young players in Europe would be a perfect addition to Pep Guardiola’s youth squad that have dominated the Premier League this campaign.
