Tottenham Hotspur stopper Hugo Lloris has revealed that he could return to football when his side takes on Liverpool this weekend.
The Tottenham stopper missed the 2-1 loss to Watford before the international break and was also forced to pull out of the France 23-man squad for their double-header against Netherlands and Germany due to a thigh injury.
However, the French keeper who is facing a drink-driving charge – could be back for the visit of the Reds when domestic action resumes next weekend.
“I am working hard to get back as quickly as possible,” Lloris told French radio station RMC.
“There may be a chance this weekend but we will see how much progress is made during the week.”
Michel Vorm deputised for the World Cup winner during the defeat to Watford in the Spurs last Premier League game.
Meanwhile, Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren who has been one of the key players for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season has ruled out for another one month.
