Serie A champions Juventus have reportedly emerged as frontrunners to secure services of in-demand Lyon box-to-box midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The 22-year-old’s future at Ligue 1 giants remains up in the ari following his performances in the French top-tier and the Champions League this campaign have attracted the attention of some Europe’s biggest teams, with particular interest from the English top-tier.
Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City are all believed to be keeping tabs on Ndombele’s progress with a view to making an official approach for his signature when the transfer window re-opens in January.
However, Calciomercato claims that Italian giants Juventus are currently leading the race for his signature, with sporting director Fabio Paratici believed to be in touch with the agent of 22-year-old playmaker.
Lyon are expected to demand around €75m (£63.9m) and €80m (£68.1m) before they consider selling one of their star player – a price tag which is currently a sticking point for all the top teams from the Premier League sides and Juventus.
The midfielder’s destination could also be influenced by how each team fares in the Champions League this campaign, with all of his potential suitors having reached the quarter-finals of Europe’s most elite competition.
Ndombele is believed to demand a five-year deal with significantly improved terms wherever he goes, however, Serie A giants are currently thought to be in the driving seat.
