Serie A champions, Juventus have reportedly emerged as the favourites to secure the services of Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli who has been recently linked with a switch to Manchester United.
While Maurizio Sarri reduced the number of central midfielders in his team in the winter transfer window, it has been claimed that the Italian heavyweights may look to make further changes in the next transfer window.
According to reports in Spain, Castrovilli is on the radar of the Serie A defending champions having impressed for Fiorentina this campaign.
The 23-year-old, competing in his first season with La Viola, has found back of the net three times and two assists from 24 starts in the Italian top-tier.
Although the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man United are also believed to be keeping tabs on his development, Castrovilli is said to favour a move to Turin.
Fiorentina will allegedly demand €40m (£36.52m) for the player’s services.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are reportedly exploring the possibility of securing the services of Manchester United starlet Angel Gomes for free in the summer.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has played six first-team games for the 20-times English champions this campaign, however, has not featured since early January amid the uncertainty around his future.
Indeed, the Englishman will see his current deal at Man Utd expire in the summer and unlike Tahith Chong, the talented midfielder is yet to commit his future to the Red Devils.
