Liverpool have reportedly revived their interest in Spanish defender Diego Llorente.
The Merseyside Reds have been rumoured with a move for the Real Sociedad man in the past, however, no formal approach has been materialised.
However, Liverpool are believed to have sent scouts to keep close tabs on Llorente against Levante before the international break and Mundo Deportivo claimed that they are now considering further action before making an official bid for his signature.
The Red are one of a number of Premier League teams thought to be tracking the Real Madrid academy product, with London trio West Ham United, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur also credited with an interest.
Spaniard form for Sociedad recently earned him a recall to his country and his team are reluctant to depart in January.
The 25-year-old’s current deal at the club does not expire until 2022, although he has €50m (£44.2m) release clause in his contract, while Real Madrid could re-sign him as little as €25m (£22.1m).
Meanwhile, another Spanish player Suso has been rumoured with a switch to Liverpool.
