Napoli head-coach Carlo Ancelotti has described Senegalese international defender Kalidou Koulibaly as one of the best in the world and insists that he is not for sale.
Kalidou Koulibaly has been heavily linked with an exit from Stadio San Paolo in recent times, earning particular interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.
With the 20-times English champions still on the hunt for a new defender, reports indicate that they may make a move to the Senegalese international star in the summer.
Ancelotti has categorically ruled out the departure of his prized asset, however, telling reporters: “Koulibaly is the best centre-back in the world, and he has more room for improvement.
“He is worth €150m and he is non-transferable. Napoli do not need to sell, the president does not want to sell and the question does not arise.”
Koulibaly has played 43 times in all competitions for Napoli this campaign, including in both legs of Napoli’s Europa League quarter-final against Arsenal and despite losing both game 27-year-old star has been one of the best players of Italian giants.
Meanwhile,Manchester United have reportedly decided to change their stance regarding over the future of Italian defender Matteo Darmian.
The former Torino defender is nearing the end of his fourth season at Old Trafford. However, the 29-year-old is known to be keen on to making a return in Serie A.
The versatile full-back has made only six appearences for the Red Devils this season, and it has been reported that a transfer will take place when the window will be re-opened in the summer.
