Arsenal starlet Gabriel Martinelli has expressed his desire to remain at the Emirates Stadium for a long-term and become a Gunners legend following an impressive first season.

The teenager has joined the North London club from Brazilian minnows Ituano earlier last summer and has managed to found back of the net 10 times and providing four assists in the process while making 26 appearances in all competitions this term.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, Martinelli said: “I want to win the Champions League and lots of domestic titles to make Arsenal’s fans very happy.

“They deserve the best – not only the supporters but all of the club’s staff. I would like to give back to the club after everything they have done for me so far and, as a result, become a Gunners legend.”

Despite being at Arsenal only one year Brazilian forward has already been linked with a switch to Real Madrid with the Spanis giants reportedly eyeing £70m move for his signature.

The Gunners were due to return to training on Tuesday following Arteta’s recovery from coronavirus, however, these plans have been abandoned as the virus continues to spread in England and all around the world it is still unclear when the Premier League returns.
